Rovaniemi - Welcome to the Arctic circle!
Nestled at the northernmost reaches of Finland, Rovaniemi stands proudly as the official gateway to the Arctic Circle. Accessible by plane, bus, or train from Helsinki, this enchanting city offers a unique blend of modern comforts and untouched arctic beauty.
The pure arctic nature offers wonders in all seasons. As winter blankets Rovaniemi in a serene layer of snow, the city transforms into a magical wonderland. The dark long nights during winter are often lit by northern lights, which you can witness when the skies are clear from September until March.
As winter makes its exit, Rovaniemi undergoes a fascinating transformation. From May to July, the Arctic enjoys the continuous glow of 24-hour daylight, known as the Midnight Sun. This period marks a lively awakening for the city, as the natural beauty takes on a new vibrancy.
Our Erasmus courses seamlessly continue through the lively summer months, and the autumn when autumn colors paint the landscape in September.
We will take you on nature trip during all seasons to enjoy the nature mindfully.
There is plenty to see and experience in Rovaniemi, and we are happy to suggest additional activities during your stay!
